Donald Locke in the Tate Britain’s, Life Between Islands: Caribbean-British Art, 1950-Now

London, England

The Tate Britain exhibition, Life Between Islands: Caribbean-British Art, 1950-Now, on display from December 1, 2021 – April 3 2022, will include Donald Locke’s work as part of its exploration of over 4 generations of Caribbean-British artists. With art from more than 40 artists whose works span various media including film, photography, painting, sculpture and fashion, the exhibit is among the first of its kind to engage the stories of Caribbean-British art with so much depth in a major national museum. Locke’s work from the Tate Britain collection, as seen in the photos below, will be featured in the exhibition.

The work of Hew Locke, Donald’s son, will also be featured in the exhibition.

Please see Tate Britain’s website to view the official exhibition description, and the FAD Magazine article, “New Tate Britain Exhibition Set to Explore Four Generations of Caribbean-British Art,” for more information.
